Get your child ready to read by sharing books together!

1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a nationwide challenge to read 1000 books with your little one before they start kindergarten.

The Library’s special program for you and your kiddo(s) is an easy way to get your child ready to learn and read by sharing books together!

  1. Register: Pickup your welcome bag at the Wilkinson Public Library.
  2. Track Your Reading: Use the Badge Book to track reading and other activities.
  3. Every Book Counts: Even if your child wants to hear the same book each time, count it! Count books from Storytime too!
  4. 1,000 Books: Congrats, you did it! Come celebrate at the library! Your child will receive a book plate certificate to add to his /her favorite book in our collection!

1000 libros antes de kinder es un desafío a nivel nacional para leer 1000 libros con su pequeño antes de que comience el kinder.

El programa especial de la biblioteca para usted y su (s) hijo (s) es una manera fácil de preparar a su hijo para aprender y leer compartiendo libros y ganando premios divertidos en el camino.

  1. Registrar: Recoja su bolsa de bienvenida en la Biblioteca Pública de Wilkinson.
  2. Rastrea Su Lectura: Marquen un libro cada vez que lean uno juntos usando la hoja.
  3. Cada Libro Cuenta: Incluso si su hijo quiere escuchar el mismo libro cada vez, ¡cuéntelo! ¡Cuente también los libros de la hora del cuento!
  4. 100- Libros: Cuando lleguen a 100 trae la hoja a la biblioteca para obtener su pegatina y una nueva hoja. 
  5. 1,000 Libros: ¡Felicidades, lo hicieron! ¡Celebra en la biblioteca! Su niño recibirá un ex libris para poner en su libro favorito de nuestra colección de la biblioteca.
